The TBA is exploring all types of Arts and Culture in their 2010 initiative.

"Skate Culture is a good example of where we can extend the boundaries from what many think of traditionally", said Dave McIlroy, President of the Tsawwassen Business Association. "If we can attract visitors to Tsawwassen for events like Skate Competitions, it opens up to many possibilites. We all know that Tsawwassen is beautiful place to live, so extending this to others for an occasional visit would be a good thing". The TBA is confident that local merchants will benefit from the recognition of Tsawwassen as a destination for Arts and Culture. "Consistency is the key, said McIlroy, if we have regular events that people come to plan around, this spins off into the local business community. I see a day when a national event in sports or the arts chooses Tsawwassen as the host community. In order to host such an event we need things for visitors to do when they get here, the Arts and Culture is a great place to start
